Hyderabad: Morning walkers at Parade Grounds have to now deal with overflowing sewer water, which has also been troubling sportsmen practicing at the venue.

Despite the venue being one of the biggest grounds in the city, that hosts several important occasions, including the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board has not done much to fix the problem.

The SCB officials blame the GHMC for the overflowing drain water. “The drain line from West Marredpally to YMCA is disturbed by the GHMC drain line. Because of this, sewerage has been overflowing. Even the ongoing Metro work has added to the problem,” said the SCB officials.
