Now, a film on Chilkur Balaji
Devotional film will star many senior actors, including playback singer S.P. Balasubramanyam
Allani Sridhar, who is known for his devotional films and serials, has come up with a film on Chilkur Balaji. “The temple is famous for many things; people who need visas, students who want good marks, business people and many other devotees believe in Chilkur Balaji. I have done my research and have also spoken to the main priest of the temple to get data,” says Allani Sridhar.
He further adds that the film will show the temple’s 400-year-old history. Sunil Sharma, who played Krishna in Bapu’s Radha Kalyanam, will portray Chilkur Balaji. Senior actors Sai Kumar and playback singer S.P. Balasubramanyam are also playing key characters. Amani and Bhanu Sri Mehra of Varudu fame will also feature in the devotional film. The director is planning to add footages of the ongoing Brahmotsavams to the film. “We are planning to release the film in May,” says Sridhar.
