TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to give tips to party candidates
Rao held full-fledged meeting with 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha candidates
Hyderabad: TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao will offer tips to the Assembly and Lok Sabha candidates and senior leaders on the upcoming polls.
Mr Rao has summoned a full-fledged meeting of all the 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha candidates, TRS district unit presidents, district in charges and MLCs on Saturday.
Party election strategy, including focus on reconstruction and development, promises listed in election manifesto like waiver of loans up to Rs 1 lakh, two bedroom housing scheme for weaker sections, waiver of housing loans, free power, retaining of government employees based on nativity, employment generation, IT development and others issues be discussed with the candidates, it is learnt.
The party will also extend support to candidates with regard to poll materials, sources added. “The party chief will interact with candidates and district chiefs, incharges and explain what needs to be focused on during the campaign. The candidates’ views will also be taken,” Etela Rajender told this newspaper.
The candidates, who have completed the nomination process and have begun canvassing, will have to rush back to Hyderabad. Mr Rao, who launched the party’s election campaign after offering prayers at Konaipally in Medak district, will address the first public meeting at Karimnagar on April 13.
