Hyderabad : The Sunrisers Hyderabad have kicked off IPL7 with a three day preparatory camp for the players who didn't feature in the recently concluded T20 World cup and for the uncapped Indian players.
One of them, wicket keeper batsmen Naman Ojha who is going into the tournament with runs 835 runs in the 2013-2014 domestic season wants to make most of the form he is in. “I am very happy with my performances in the domestic circuit especially with the knock against East Zone, where I helped my team win the Deodhar trophy. And overall as well I did well and would look to carry the form into this IPL season,” the wicket keeper batsman who was acquired in the last auction, told this newspaper on Friday.
From someone who fancies to come down the track and hit the bowler right back over his head to consolidating the innings in the middle overs Ojha has come a long way. “I was informed by the team management to be prepared to bat at No.4 or No.5 or No.6. As I have a new role to play, I would like to keep things simple. Pick up singles as and when available and try to push hard to pick up a cheeky double or three here and there,” Ojha said.
