Internet porn can be as addictive and destructive as 'drugs'

Mumbai: While some believe that watching porn is just to while away time, the effects on an individual maybe grave. According to the Al Jazeera, the saturation of internet porn may be affecting your brain and behaviour.

A Cambridge University study shows that some people who describe themselves as porn addicts develop changes in the 'reward centre', the same brain area that changes in drug addicts. 

A US-based non-profit organization, Fight the New Drug, started #PornKillsLove on Twitter to raise awareness about what it considers to be porn's harmful effects. The organisation also believes that porn can have adverse effects on relationships, entice violence and encourage the victimisation of women.

According to a new online movement, it’s killing love. Youngsters these days have much more access via internet and mobile devices to stream free sites easily. This also results in 'negative stereotypes' about women.
