Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has refused to indulge in any public debate on poll-related issues, including the comments made by Chief Whip P.C. George. He said Mr George’s statements on the elections would be examined and that he had talked to him in this regard.

“The party has a clear assessment about each constituency. The party–government coordination committee meeting on April 22 will review Mr George’s criticisms,” he said.

Mr George had on Friday alleged that Pathanamthitta UDF candidate Anto Antony had avoided him from the  campaign and also that the campaign  was not up to the mark. He also said that Kerala needed a consolidated liquor policy. The KPCC chief urged the party workers again to abstain from provocative statements and not to be  carried away by comments of the leaders of the Congress and the  allies.
