Flipkart offers Moto G for free

Since the launch of the Moto X, Flipkart seems to be doing low sales on the older sibling, the Moto G. a few days ago, Flipkart was seen hosting offers of up to Rs 2,000 off with an exchange offer on the Moto G.

This time, the offer seems to be more interesting, and definitely almost impossible to be lucky enough. Flikpart is now offering the Motorola Moto G for Rs 12,499 and 100 lucky customers will get their entire money back under the 100% cash back scheme. The offer does not end here—one lucky customer will be entitled to one-year free shopping on their online portal.

How this works; you might ask. Well, there is a catch with the fine print. You need to buy the Moto G, get an order ID and answer a simple question—“does the Moto G run on Android?” SMS the answer with a yes or no before April 30, 2014 and you could be a lucky winner who will be announced on May 7, 2014.

The second part also has that “asterisk” T&C attached—the one-year free shopping option is a free gift voucher of Rs 1 lakh for Flipkart and valid for a year.

Looking at the offers on the website, it looks like either Flipkart is desperate to get rid of the stock which could account for huge losses after a while when the handset gets old. We might even see the Moto G being bundled free with other shopping articles in a few weeks.

The Moto G is a great handset, but price drop by other rival brands is threatening the Moto G to be obsolete soon. The fate of the Motorola Moto X could be near too.
