Most flagship phones today are seen sporting a full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. We have seen this display on almost all new phones in the market which include the Galaxy, Xperia and Ones, and not forgetting some of the Chinese makers too. Well, the Chinese brands such as the Oppo Find 7 and the Vivo Xplay 3S are some, which are making headlines sporting the 2K display which features screen resolutions of 2650x1440 pixels.

However, we will see the new resolution (2K) going mainstream in a few months for sure. The rumor mill states that the next phone from LG will feature a 5.5-inch 2K display, claims Engadget. So imagine the amount of processing that tiny chipset inside the phone has to do and imagine the clarity of the crisp display you will benefit from. Pictures and videos will be more realistic if this is said to be true. However, these phones will definitely not come cheap.
