M. Mallikarjuna Kharge: My focus is to win Gulbarga, praises Siddaramaiah
Kharge warns media not to drive a wedge between him and Siddaramaiah
Gulbarga: Railways minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge, who was a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister in 2013, said he has a job cut out for him in New Delhi and that he would be happy serving there.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Mr. Kharge said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was doing a good job, and would continue in the post. Asked whether he still aspired to become Chief Minister, Mr Kharge retorted, dreaming and practicality are two different things.
"I am contesting parliamentary elections now and will go to the Centre. On his part, Mr Siddaramaiah is doing a good job as Chief Minister. Don’t try to drive a wedge between us or spoil our mood by raising such questions. My focus now is to get elected to Parliament and serve at the Centre,” Mr Kharge said.
