Zicom launches Hybrid Mini DVR for home security
The portable-sized compact DVR can connect up to 16 IP and analog cameras
Zicom has launched a compact Hybrid Mini DVR for home and office video surveillance. The security device can connect and record video feeds from up to 16 cameras, be it IP or analog video cameras.
The new Hybrid Mini DVR features an ARM 9 RISC processor, which offers capabilities of recording up to 10 channels of simultaneous video feeds. It also features a graphical interface with icons, and allows remote viewing of the real-time video feeds on any web browser or CMS with low bandwidth requirements.
The Hybrid Mini DVR runs on IP, PNP and allows for remote IP address configuration. It offers two Ethernet ports for high-speed video and data download and transmission. The recordings can be stored at 30 fps.
Additional features video monitoring of any footage, any time stamped, simultaneously from a single location. For e.g. if one wished to view all the video footage shot by several cameras at 10:00 AM, one could use Synchronous Playback Facility instead of examining the video footage from each camera individually.
Zicom's new DVR has an aesthetic, practical control panel that combines the channel indicator display and keypad for alarm view. It supports mouse and shuttle switch, and features a new OSD design with a Windows operating system. All functions can be easily operated by one single mouse or shuttle switch. It also supports clear guidance for configuration. DS-9016HFI-S Intelligent Hybrid DVR also has higher security performance, such as power consumption and RAID, to prevent hard-disk malfunction.
The Hybrid Mini DVR works on a Linux operating system.
