Telugu film ‘Naa Bangaru Talli’ gets three National Awards
Based on a true story, the film revolves around sex trafficking
Mumbai: Telugu film ‘Naa Bangaru Talli’ has won three National Awards at the 61st National Film Awards announced in Delhi on Wednesday.
This Telugu film was directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Rajesh Touchriver based on a true story. The film has won three awards in the category of Best Regional Feature Film of Telugu, Best Music and special jury mention for Anjali Patil.
The subject of this film based on a true story of sex trafficking, revolves around a father and a daughter and their trails and tribulations. The haunting music has been scored by Shantanu Moitra. The film features Anjali Patil (winner Golden Peacock, IFFI), Siddiq, Laxmi Menon, Ratnasekhar, Nina Kurup.
Before this the film has won couple of international awards at International Film Festivals.
The jury for Indonesian International Film Festival (IFFCRM) announced "Naa Bangaaru Talli" as winner of the "Award of Excellence" in 2013. Before that the film had also won the "Best Feature Film" Award at Trinity International Film Festival, Detroit, USA.
Getting recognition at two international film festivals for a Telugu film is a rare achievement in Tollywood industry.
