TRS won’t get more than 20 MLA seats: G. Venkatswamy
G. Venkatswamy blamed KCR has lost credibility by making false promises
Adilabad: Veteran Congress leader and former Union minister G. Venkatswamy, who suffered a bullet injury in the Telangana agitation in 1969, predicted that the TRS will not get more than 20 MLA seats in the elections in Telangana as its president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has lost credibility by making false promises.
Mr Venkatswamy came to Mancherial after a gap of four years for campaigning on behalf of his two sons, G. Vivek and G. Vinod who are contesting from Peddapalli MP and Chennur Assembly constituencies respectively.
Speaking to this correspondent, Mr Venkataswamy said said the TRS chief has no moral right to ask for Dalits’ votes after backtracking on his promise of making a Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana. He said the Congress will come to power at the Centre.
