Hyderabad: Jai Samaikyandhra Party president and former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, still hasn’t made up his mind on contesting in the ensuing elections.

“There’s still a lot of time; you will come to know whether I am contesting for Assembly or for Lok Sabha,” he said on Wednesday evening while addressing a news conference at the party office on the occasion of JSP and CPM entering into a poll pact in Seemandhra region.

As per the understanding, JSP will support CPM candidates in 16 Assembly and two Lok Sabha constituencies. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy and CPM Seemandhra  region secretary, Mr Penuballi Madhu, announced the alliance.

“Since both of us were vehemently opposed to the bifurcation of the state, it is nothing but natural that we entered into a poll pact,” Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said.

He added that Jai Samaikyandhra Party had already announced names for 100 constituencies in Seemandhra and the remaining would be finalised after conclusion of alliance talks with CPM.

Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, however, evaded a direct reply to a query on his contesting the election and said that as there was still time for filing nominations, he had not made up his mind about contesting the election. Asked to predict the outcome of the elections, Mr

Kiran Kumar Reddy said that even a learned pundit could not forecast the result of elections or whether a film would be a hit or flop.
