Hyderabad: Carlsen Rezidor on Thursday opened its first hotel under its upscale brand Radisson in Hyderabad, in partnership with Sarovar Hotels and Resorts. The hotel is a part of its plan to have 100 hotels in India, some of which are in developmental stage in India.
The hotel is a tri-partie tie up with Majeera Constructions, Carlson Rezidor and Sarovar Hotels and Resorts. “It took a year for us to convert the hotel from Aditya Sarovar Premier to Radisson. While the staff remains the same, they were trained according to Radisson’s standards,” said Raj Rana, CEO, Carlson Hotels (South-Asia) Private Limited.
Talking about the shifting nature of the hospitality industry, Ajay Bakaya, executive director, Sarovar Hotels said, “The growth of the hospitality sector in India seems optimistic right now, with the World Bank predicting a growth of upto six per cent. The situation might improve further after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
The city already has the group’s premium brand hotel Radisson Blu.
