While there is still a lot of time for P.K.’s December release, Rajkumar Hirani believes in staying ahead of time. Having wrapped up the shoot of his film, the director has started work on editing the Aamir Khan-starrer.

Sources close to him say that he locks himself in the editing room for 10-12 hours and has asked everyone including his family members to  not disturb him. Hirani feels that editing a film is equally or perhaps even more important than just shooting it. Known to be a perfectionist, he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to beating competition. With many big films releasing during the end of the year, Hirani is already readying his project so it stands out among the rest.

Our source says, “He is a trained editor from FTII. He started his career as an editor and likes to work on the editing table. Even after three films — Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots — he continues to be as passionate about editing as he is about filming.”
