Congress failed to prove allegations despite investigations

Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu said he is not afraid of any corruption charges since he had not indulged in any corrupt practices during his regime.
While addressing an election campaign in Bobbili town in Vizianagaram district on Thursday he said the Congress had booked many cases against him and the inquiry committees, formed during YSR regime, failed to prove the charges.
“The Congress booked 37 cases against me and conducted inquiries regarding 25 charges in which they were completely unsuccessful to prove the allegations. They (Congress) bifurcated the state for Moddabboy (Rahul) and Dongabboy (Jagan) for which they gained nothing except political interests. Congress stands for dongala party (party of thieves) and YSRC for dopidi Party (party for dacoits),” Mr Naidu said. The TD chief asked people to teach them a lesson in the coming elections.
Mr Naidu expressed concern over the security of women in the state and said a special feature like pressing 9 on mobile phone in an emergency would alert the police to swing into action and promised to implement such the feature when his party comes into power.
He promised the establishment of agri-based industries, waiver of agriculture loans, Rs 1,000 pension for the aged besides setting up old-age homes. He appealed to people to vote for leaders who respect honesty and said they would make AP corruption-free. He said the YSRC chief faced criminal cases and the ED had attached around Rs 1,100 crore properties.
He indicated here that they had been considering whether to continue political alliance with the BJP or not. Contradicting his statement, he said has been personally wishing Narendra Modiâ?Ts leadership at national level.
Chandrababu assured that they would start airports in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts for convenience of the local people. He also said they would issue driving licences within five minutes especially to illiterate auto-drivers.
He reiterated that they would give Rs 1,000-2,000 assistance to the jobless every month. He also said they will pay salary to employees for 80 days of strike period. Naidu assured that he would try for tribal varsity for Parvathipuram area. Party leaders D Jagadeeswar Reddy and others participated.
