Hyderabad: Telangana PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah intensified his attack on TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday and alleged that cases had been registered against Mr Rao in Dubai.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Lakshmaiah said that the cases included those of fake passports and illegal transportation of people. He added that no government agency could give a clean chit to Mr Rao in those cases.
Alleging that Mr Rao did not trust the Constitution of India, Mr Lakshmaiah gave the example of the former’s statements about the division of government employees. He said that if Mr Rao had any doubts about the AP Reorganisation Bill-2014, he should have raised the same in Parliament itself.
He advised government employees not to take into account Mr Rao’s statements, stating that he was making a nuisance about the division of employees. He also said that the Telangana Congress unit was supporting the views of the employees.
The TRS chief did not mention in the election affidavit about the cases alleged against him by the Telangana PCC chief.
Meanwhile, Telangana PCC chief spokesperson, Mr D. Sravan, who joined the Congress recently from the TRS, released a video CD on Mr Rao titled “One KCR and one thousand lies” on Thursday at Gandhi Bhavan.
Mr Sravan took strong exception to TRS leader Mr K.T. Rama Rao’s remark that AICC president Mrs Sonia Gandhi was a Bali Devatha for the people of Telangana and questioned why Mr Rao had visited Mrs Gandhi along with his family members if that was the case.
He also alleged that the TRS leader Mr T. Harish Rao had enacted “petrol drama” in Siddipet in the past, where he had poured coloured water on his body and threatened to set himself on fire.
