Kuppam/Tirupati: Nara Lokesh, son of Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, filed nominations at an auspicious time on behalf of his father at Kuppam on Thursday.
Mr Lokesh reached the Kuppam constituency and offered prayers at local temples before filing the nomination papers. Accompanied by thousands of the party leaders and cadres, Mr Lokesh then led an impressive rally through the arterial roads of Kuppam town before filing the nomination papers on behalf of his father in the afternoon.
As part of his “Yuva Prabhanjanam Yatra”, Mr Lokesh has undertaken impressive roadshows at Palamaner, Punganur and Tamballapalle Assembly constituencies.
Addressing the people as part of his roadshows, Mr Lokesh pointed out that the 2014 general elections presented a historic necessity for the people to vote for the TD-BJP combine to ensure that the leadership rested in the hands of a committed leadership to rebuild the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Cautioning the electorate that the state could not afford to come under the rule of the YSRC, headed Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was under the CBI and ED scanner for amassing disproportionate assets by misusing his father’s office when he was the chief minister, he called upon the people to vote for the right leadership of Mr Chandrababu Naidu who could pull back the state from the ruins of 10 years of misrule of the Congress and set the state back on a rapid development track.
Mr Lokesh held a closed door meeting with important leaders of the constituency and called upon them to ensure victory of the TD supremo with even a better margin this time around.
