HTC One M8 is finally here, priced at Rs 49,900
Finally the One M8 makes a presence on the mobile store shelves
The HTC One M8 will now be available in the Indian market for Rs 49,900. Presently, One M8 is available in the US for around $649, which is around Rs 39,000 approximately. However, in India it has launched for a whopping Rs 10,900 extra.
The HTC One M8 is presently one of the most powerful phones out there. With a unibody made from a metal brushed aluminum, it is definitely tough and sleek. The dual boom speakers are up front which won’t make you cup your palms behind the rear (like you would for all other phones). The boom speakers have onboard amplifiers, which makes watching your favorite flicks a good experience. A Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the full HD super LCD 3 display, which is the best available protection for any smartphone. The quad core processor is very powerful, clocked at 2.3 GHz and coupled with an Adreno 330 graphics processor, which promises to give you an edge in performance.
The two cameras present on the rear are a bit surprising—one would think it can do 3D photos, but it doesn’t, maybe HTC would introduce a 3D camera app in future. Well the two cameras are just to make an interesting picture. While one snaps to the subject, the other camera looks beyond and the two together make the final picture, which has unique effects. In short, the camera can sense depth and capture photographs that can be selectively focused after they have been snapped. The front has a 5MP camera, which is great for selfies and video chats. The One M8 has two variants—storage options are 16GB and 32GB internal, which can be further expanded to 128 GB using a micro SD card.
The phone comes packed with Google’s Android Kitkat version 4.4.2 and is customized with HTC’s own and latest user interface, the Sense UI version 6. We have heard around that the Google Edition HTC One M8 will also be released, but we are not sure when would that be.
