Case filed against Anbumani Ramadoss for violation of Model Code of Conduct
Ramadoss continued to campaign even after the restricted time
New Delhi: Police on Wednesday registered cases against Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, former Union health minister and PMK candidate for Dharmapuri Lok Sabha seat, and eight others for violation of Model Code of Conduct as they continued campaigning even after the restricted time.
Campaigning for the April 24 polls ended at 5 pm on Tuesday.
But the PMK cadres continued their meeting even after the restricted time. They also abused the police and other officials who asked them to stop the campaigning, police said. Based on Tahsildar's complaint, police registered cases under violation of MCC against Anbumani and others, police said.
Police have already registered a case against Anbumani for circulating CDs containing objectionable messages.
