Pawan Kalyan, Chandrababu Naidu share cold vibes on stage
Pawan is miffed with Naidu for not giving ticket to friend PVP
Hyderabad: The bonhomie was visibly lacking between Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu and actor and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at the meet that brought two of them on the same stage for the first time.
Both of them were sharing the dais with BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Mr Modi, however, did a balancing act by referring to both the leaders as his “good friends” during his speech.
It is a known fact, that Pawan Kalyan is upset because his friend Potluri Vara Prasad could not contest the polls either as a TD nominee or a BJP candidate from the Vijayawada LS segment.
Pawan Kalyan had made his annoyance obvious by not asking his supporters, at Nizamabad as well as in Hyderabad, to vote for the Telugu Desam. He even did not take Mr Naidu’s name when he addressed the audience, even though he was sharing the dais with him.
Mr Naidu took Pawan Kalyan’s name only once in the beginning of his speech. The fact that both the leaders had met Mr Modi separately raised eyebrows.
The actor took a separate helicopter in the afternoon to reach Nizamabad and shared the dais with Modi. After the meeting, he left for Hyderabad without going to Karimnagar and Mahbubnagar.
Mr Naidu reached Begumpet airport from Chittoor district in the evening and waited for Mr Modi to come from Karimnagar and accompanied him to Mahbubnagar. The only occasion when Mr Naidu and Pawan met was in Hyderabad.
