KAKINADA: YSRC leader Y.S. Vijayalakshmi lambasted cine actor and Congress publicity secretary Chiranjeevi, Jai Samaikyandhra Party president N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and TD chief Chandrababu Naidu during her campaign in Tallarevu and Kajuluru mandals on Tuesday.
Vijayalakshmi blasted Chiranjeevi for betraying the people who helped him win. She said when Chiranjeevi floated PRP nearly 70 lakh people voted for him and 18 MLAs got elected in 2009. But he overlooked the interests of voters to become a minister.
She also censured former CM N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for talking about the Samaikyandhra issue. She said that after the bifurcation announcement YSRC MLAs resigned and requested other MLAs to follow suit. But Kiran stuck to his position and resigned only much later.
Vijayalakshmi said that Naidu brought down Hyderabad to the fifth place from the third place it had in 1950. However, fishermen and their problems, particularly those created by oil companies like Reliance and others, did not find mention in Vijayalakshmi's speeches. This left the fishermen community disappointed.
Ramachandrapuram YSRC candidate Pilli Subhashchandra Bose, Mummidivaram candidate Guthula Sai and Amalapuram Lok Sabha candidate Pinepe Viswaroop and others accompanied Vijayamma.
