Aishwarya, Sushmita come together

If all goes as per schedule, former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will share screen space soon. Interestingly, both Sushmita and Aishwarya were competitors in the same Miss India pageant, which was held 20 years ago and the former won. While Sushmita went on to become Miss Universe, Aishwarya became Miss World.

Now, after the birth of her child and family responsibilities which kept Aishwarya away from films, she is making a comeback and that too with Sushmita.“Aishwarya and I don’t chat, but we are about to do a film for sure,” Sushmita confirms. It is being rumoured that Ash and Sush will co star in Happy Anniversary, which will be ad guru Prahlad Kakkar’s directorial debut.

Produced by Gaurang Doshi, Happy Anniversary is slated to be a marital comedy which will feature real-life couple Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan with Sushmita playing a supporting role. When contacted, Aishwarya says, “All I can say is that I am  looking forward to  the film.”
While Ash might not have confirmed, Sushmita’s words seem to be somewhat reassuring. “My intention is to work in a film that I want to do. I can work any time I want to, but the makers have to be ready.

The script and the dates need to be locked and only then can anything materialise. But yes, the film has been in the news and as an actor I can only wait, but I promise you that if you have waited so long for a comeback, I will not disappoint you. I will see you again for sure,” Sushmita assures us.Interestingly, Aishwarya and Sushmita do not share a cordial relationship off screen and were last seen together in 1994 Miss India pageant.
