Bangalore: Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT is series of tapping techniques which can help achieve great freedom from the emotions that have created problems. This technique has been spanned out from a 5000-year-old technique called as Acupuncture. EFT breathes fresh air into the emotional therapy process.

It is a relatively recent therapeutic process that combines the ancient knowledge of the energy meridians from Chinese medicine. This non-invasive therapy helps relieve and improve any emotional disturbance along with physical symptoms. It can be practiced by anyone.
EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture except we don’t use needles and in essence. Instead, we use a simple two pronged process wherein we:
(1.) Mentally “tune in” to specific issues.

(2.) Stimulating certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with our fingertips.

Properly done, EFT appears to balance disturbances in the meridian system and thus often reduces the conventional therapy procedures from months or years down to minutes or hours.

It assists in Mind-Body-Soul balance. Our behaviour is governed by our beliefs, whether those beliefs are destructive or not. Beliefs precede our thoughts and feelings, our actions and reactions, our choices and decisions as well as our experiences. The beliefs are stored in the subconscious. To change our lives, we have to change the dysfunctional beliefs from our subconscious.
The body and the mind are connected intimately, and so if we can get the mind to talk to the body, then we can make real change. Using EFT we can help to unify the mind with the body. EFT helps in clearing old unconscious energy patterns from your mind body system by practicing regularly. This tapping balances the energy meridians thereby achieving a calm state.

Once we get our set up and reminder phrases we can begin tapping. You begin EFT with your set up affirmation by repeating it “3” times at least on your “KC” (Karate Chop) point. Which ideally is “Even though I have this challenge/issue, I still truly, deeply, completely; Love, Forgive and Accept myself.” The points shown below are of Short-cut recipe in EFT.
Tapping Sequence: Using your index finger and middle finger tips, tap gently, but firmly, five to seven time on each of the points mentioned below. Tap on each point by repeating the reminder phrase.

a.) Eyebrow Point or EB
b.) Side of the Eye or SE
c.) Under the Eye or UE
d.) Under the Nose or UN
e.) Chin or CH

h.) Crown of the head or CRH: It is sometimes referred to as Top of the head or TH.
