Shobha Nagi Reddy death: Leaders from all parties mourn loss

Leaders from rival parties like TDP and Congress also express their condolenses

Hyderabad: Cutting across party lines, politicians poured in at Care Hospital to express solidarity with the grieving family of YSR Congress candidate and sitting MLA Shobha Nagi Reddy, who succumbed to her injuries following an accident in Nandyal on Thursday.

YSRC honorary president Vijayalakshmi, who developed a close association with Shobha and assisted her during party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s imprisonment, wept inconsolably when the body was being shifted to the ambulance, before heading to Nandyal.

TD leader Nannapneni Raja Kumari, JSP founder and former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Lok Satta chief Jaiprakash Narayana, Congress leader Renuka Chowdary and others visited the hospital before the injured legislator breathed her last.

YSRC leaders Laxmi Parvathi and Mysoora Reddy, former DGP V. Dinesh Reddy, actor Mohan Babu, his wife, and children Manchu Lakshmi and Manchu Manoj, actors Allu Aravind, Raja, Jeevitha, Rajashekar and DA Somayajulu, among others, also visited the hospital.
