Sonia, Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh to campaign for Telangana

Hyderabad: After hijacking Jayashankar from the TRS fold, the Telangana Congress high command is now concentrating on grabbing more seats than TRS in Telangana. With only five days left for poll campaign in Telangana, Congress is deploying more AICC leaders in addition to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, to campaign extensively in Telangana in next three days. 

 

Congress high command had received positive reports after Mrs Gandhi’s and Mr Rahul Gandhi’s public meetings in Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad. AICC president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will address a series of public meetings in next three days in Telangana state.

 

Mr Gandhi will be coming to Telangana on Friday for the second phase of the election campaign in Telangana region. According to Telangana PCC, Mr Gandhi will address public meeting at Warangal at 3.15 pm and in Hyderabad at 5.15pm at LB stadium.

 

On April 26, Dr Manmohan Singh will address public meeting at Bhongir and on April 27, Mrs Gandhi will address Public meeting at Medak district. Meanwhile AICC general secretary and state party affairs in-charge  Digvijay Singh arrived in Hyderabad on Thursday evening to oversee the arrangements.
