California: A 27-year-old US citizen was arrested by authorities over an alleged extortion plot involving the daughter of India-born venture capitalist and founder of Sun Microsystems Vinod Khosla.

Officials say Douglas Tarlow, a student of Stanford University, threatened to leak naked images of Khosla’s daughter Nina if the family didn’t pay him $72,000.
Tarlow and Nina were in a relationship for two years, 2008 — 2010, and the former was employed by Khosla’s wife Neera in a non-profit enterprise.

California: It is believed the naked images of Nina, the daughter of India-born venture capitalist and founder of Sun Microsystems Vinod Khosla, were shared by her when she was dating Douglas Tarlow, a student of Stanford University.

Documents also reveal Tarlow was fired in 2012 and that he attempted to extort the Khoslas the very same year. But Khosla notified the FBI and Tarlow was arrested last week, following a probe. Federal authorities have also claimed that both mother and daughter, Neera and Nina were targeted by Tarlow in a sustained campaign that lasted all of 2012.
