CBI told to probe assets of KCR, Harish, Vijayashanti

The investigating agency will file an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act

Hyderabad: The Special Court for CBI cases has directed the CBI, Hyderabad, to probe the assets of TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, party leader T. Harish Rao and Medak MP M. Vijayashanti. The court directed the investigating agency to register an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The CBI is yet to register a case.

Special Judge N. Balayogi issued the orders under Section 156(3) of the CrPC after hearing a private petition filed by an advocate Y. Balaji Vadera, who wanted the court to direct the CBI to register an FIR under Section 13(1) (c) and Section 13 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
