Ronaldo aspires to be a reel hero

Cristiano Ronaldo is used to preening in front of a camera and he has now indicated that he would be interested in an acting career after he retires from football. The 29-year-old returned from injury as Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal first leg on Wednesday, ahead of a possible final in his native Portugal.

 

It is the latest stage in a stunning season for the Portuguese, who won his second world player of the year gong in January, but he has admitted that a life in the spotlight after his playing days would appeal.

 

Asked if an acting career would appeal, he said: “The door is always open. ‘I am always available’ as they say in English,” he said. “I am not thinking now about the end of my football career but it is always a possibility because I am used to it.” Ronaldo’s girlfriend Irina Shayk has already entered into the movie business with her debut movie Hercules set for release soon.
