Another smartphone manufacturer goes Windows Phone
Blu, an American smartphone manufacturer, flaunting a Windows Phone handset
American smartphone manufacturer Blu, known for budget Android handsets, seems to get hold of the Windows Phone license from Microsoft.
Microsoft was recently reportedly speaking to budget handset manufacturers around the world, including Karbonn and Lava in India, seems to be pushing to extremes with their products. Apart from acquiring the mobile division of Nokia, Microsoft is also in talks with various smartphone vendors and manufacturers around the world to push the smartphones into the market.
Blu has shown a sneak peak on their Facebook site, which teases the rest of the market about their recent acquirement of the Windows license. US may soon see the release of the handset in the market, but the date and time have not been revealed as yet.
Does Microsoft fear competition? Since Android and IOS handsets are favored by consumers, Windows Phone market seems to be on the lower end of the scales. Microsoft’s move to introduce budget Windows phones into the market could pay-off.
