Kochi: One of Mollywood’s most expensive productions, Mr Fraud, has found its way into muddy waters with the theatre owners in the State. The Film Exhibitors’ Federation has decided to put the theatre release of the Mohanlal starrer on hold for the time being.
“We have not banned the movie yet, but it is on temporary hold. We have an issue with Mr Fraud’s director B. Unnikrishnan, with regard to Raghavan Master’s death. Many had not come to pay last respects to him from the Amma Federation. We are still in discussions with Unnikrishnan and we are trying to come to a compromise with which both parties will be happy,” says Liberty Basheer, Film Exhibit Federation President.
The film, produced by A.V. Anoop under the banner AVA Productions, was originally scheduled to release on May 8.
