Vishal resumes shoot despite 14 stitches

The actor insisted on completing a fight sequence rather than taking rest

Chennai: In an untoward incident, actor Vishal who was performing an action sequence choreographed by Kanal Kannan for Poojai, met with an injury leaving the fingers on his right hand bruised.

DC contacted Hari, the director of the film, and he asserts that the Pandiya Naadu star is keeping well and that he finished his portion after taking the necessary first aid.

Hari opens up, “A market set was erected at Saligramam and Vishal had to jump from a railway bridge in a crucial sequence. He lost his balance halfway and suffered a scrape. However,  he resumed the shoot and completed the fight sequence after putting 14 stitches on the hand. The shooting is currently going on at a restaurant in ECR. The female lead, Sruthi Hassan, has completed one schedule. The movie will be shot in Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Pollachi and Kerala.”

The filmmaker also affirmed that Poojai is made with Coimbatore as its backdrop and is slated for a Deepavali release. The movie also has Sathyaraj essaying a significant character.
