Five Navy men held for molesting woman in Mumbai

The men also chased the woman and her husband after pushing them

Mumbai: Five Indian Navy men have been arrested for allegedly molesting a young female banker before attacking her husband in a pub in suburban Khar, according to the police.

Police has absolved the five Navy men of the “stalking” charge under the new Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 2013.

The men, who later, chased the couple’s car till Borivali has earlier pushed the woman and her husband.

The five accused, arrested from suburban Borivali are identified as Maheshwar Mahendra Singh (26), Ashish Jaikishan (29) Tirthnath Dilpanath (25) Sham Bhandare (29) and Chandan Mishra (26).

CCTV footage from the pub has been procured and would be used as evidence.
