MLAs want Siddaramaiah to fill vacant board posts

Bengaluru: A section of legislators who met Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah on Monday demanded that the state government  should release more funds for development works in their respective constituencies.
The legislators also urged him to commence the process of revamping  boards and corporations and  committees in the taluks and districts  to placate supporters.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior legislators who attended the meeting at the CM's home-office Krishna, said, "The Model Code of Conduct was in force for nearly a month and we were busy campaigning, so we could not concentrate on development works. We want Mr Siddaramaiah to release more funds to our constituencies."

As many as eight to ten legislators met Mr Siddaramaiah and demanded that the party should give an impetus to the filling up of vacant posts in  committees at the taluk and district level.

"This will take care of party workers' need. We also requested him to   revamp boards and corporations. Now that it is almost impossible to make it to the cabinet, it would be better to seek chairmanship of a board or a corporation.” said the legislator.
