Akshay Kumar’s favourite stunt from Holiday
Akshay cannot stop singing praises of the stunt team for choreographing realistic stunts
Eight months after Boss, Akshay Kumar is ready with his next film, Vipul Shah’s Holiday. The action-entertainer also marks the return of director A.R. Murugadoss in a Hindi film. The film is being said to be high on action with quite a few daring stunts. According to sources, Vipul roped in Greg Powell from England, who heads one of the best stunt teams of the world.
Keeping in mind the combined vision of Murugadoss, Akshay and Vipul, Powell has incorporated some never-seen-before stunts in the film. Akshay says, “One of my favourite sequences is this one particular gun fight that we shot in old abandoned kitchens. There is no fancy trickery or any special effects on display. It’s just me and the fighters indulging in some hand-to-hand combat in an enclosed environment.”
Akshay continues, “I have never shot for a fight sequence like that. So it may not blow your mind but then it was never meant to. It’s only made to make you go ‘wow’ and in that, it worked big time. Hats off to the stunt team.”
He sure has us interested now.
