Dalit boy killed for having affair outside the community

Nashik: A teenager belonging to a backward community, who had an alleged love affair with a girl belonging to another community, was allegedly murdered in the Kharde village of Ahmednagar.

The incident occurred on Monday night and a case was registered in the Jamkhed police station at 1 am on Tuesday. The police said that the victim Nitin Raju Aage was beaten with sticks and rods and later strangled with a rope near New English School Kharda in Yeole brick kiln locality.

Nitin was an HSC student and had an alleged affair with the sister of prime accused Aba Golekar. The police has arrested Golekar, Sesrao Yeole and a minor and has filed charges under various sections of IPC and Atrocity laws. Golekar and Yeole were on Tuesday remanded to police custody till May 9, while the minor was taken to juvenile custody.
