Don’t trust Jagan Mohan or Chandrababu Naidu, urges Chiranjeevi
Union minister said that Congress will transform Seemandhra into a modern state
Ongole: Union minister of state for tourism Chiranjeevi urged voters not to believe in the promises made by leaders of YSRC, TD and BJP while campaigning for Congress candidates at Kavali, Kovur, Muthukuru and Nellore on Tuesday.
He told people that the promises were made with an eye on power and requested them to teach a lesson to all the leaders by voting against them.
He ridiculed Jagan Mohan Reddy for his sweet talk while referring to cases against him on economic offences. He claimed credit for the Congress for implementing the free power scheme, Arogyasri, interest free loans, SC/ST sub-plan, 108 & 104 ambulance services, Abhaya Hastham, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and Rs 1-a-kg rice.
He claimed that the Congress introduced these schemes for every age group starting from infants to the aged. He refuted allegations that Congress was responsible for division of the state while pointing to letters given by all other political parties including the TD and YSR Congress in favour of bifurcation.
He said that opposition parties are simply passing on the buck to Congress while appealing the people to notice the fact.
In his address former finance minister and Congress nominee for Atmakur Anam Ramanarayana Reddy described Chiranjeevi as “Radha Saradhy” (Charioteer) for Congress. He assured to implement all the points in their manifesto if Congress is back into power.
Congress leaders succeeded in mobilising sizable number of people for the road show in Kavali. The gathering turned out to be a morale booster for the party men. Congress leaders appreciated constituency in-charge Dagumati Venkata Krishna Reddy for his efforts to make the programme successful at Kavali.
Congress nominee for Nellore parliament seat Vakati Narayana Reddy MLC, PCC Vice President Madasu Gangadharam and DCC President Kodavalur Dhanunjaya Reddy were present with the Mega Star during the campaign.
