I can’t lie like Chandrababu Naidu, says Jagan Mohan Reddy

Jagan described the current election as a war between honest and corrupt leaders

Vijayawada/Guntur: YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said he would not lie to people like TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu as his association with people will be longer.

“I am 25 years younger than Chandrababu Naidu and my association with people will be longer. So, I cannot make false promises,” said YSR Congress president Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday.

Speaking at an election campaign at Gandhi Chowk in Gannavaram of Krishna district, he said that people knew about Mr Naidu’s habit of making promises that he cannot fulfil. He added that Mr Naidu was making false promises to assume power in the state and predicted that the TD would vanish after elections.

Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy described the current election as a war between honest and corrupt leaders and appealed to people to elect honest leaders for a good rule. He said that his five signatures and six development works after assuming power would change the state development scenario.

Machilipatnam Parlia-mentary constituency YSR Congress candidate and former minister Mr K. Parthasaradhi said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would emerge as the chief minister of the state and that the people were ready with their mandate.

Gannavaram Assembly constituency YSR Congress candidate Mr D. Ramachandra Rao also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy later interacted with the people of Nidamanuru before leaving for Guntur district.

He urged the voters in Guntur not to believe all the promises made by the TD to give things for “free”.

Addressing a road show in Guntur old city on Tuesday, he said that he was not ready to cheat voters. He stressed on credibility in politics.

He urged the voters to elect efficient people who can solve their problems and develop the constituency. He said that a leader should bring change in the lives of poor and asked the voters to choose such people.

He recalled how the late chief minister Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy implemented various schemes  for the poor and schemes being introduced by him benefited various sections of people in the society. He said that was the reason he was alive in hearts of people.

He asked Mr.Naidu why he did not implement the promises like job to  every family, and other welfare scheme he assured during his nine and  half years rule. Why, he is showing affection on the voters before the  
general elections. He is trying to cheat the people to come to power.
