Hyderabad: In a whirlwind tour of Seemandhra, BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi, with TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and actor and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan in tow, addressed five rallies in the region on Thursday, systematically bashing the UPA, the “Ma-Beta Sarkar” of AICC president Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, exhorting the electorate to defeat the “corrupt” YSR Congress and bring the NDA to power at the Centre and the TD-BJP combine in the state.

In Visakhapatnam, addressing a mammoth gathering that had turned out despite pouring rain, Mr Modi turned his guns on YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state and Sonia and Rahul at the Centre.

Mr Modi said the Congress had failed to honour former PM P.V. Narasimha Rao and asked the people to select Swarnandhra rule instead of “Scamandhra” rule.
