It was all drama done by the cops: Poonam Pandey
The starlet is miffed with the cops but will not take any legal action against them
Mumbai: On Friday night, Poonam Pandey was booked by Mira Road police station for allegedly behaving indecently. According to the cops, Pandey was spotted by a patrolling van in revealing clothes, waiting outside her car around 10.30pm.
The van stopped and questioned her. Later, they brought her to the police station and booked her under section 110 (indecent behaviour in public) of the Bombay Police Act. She was released after a warning.
Reacting to the entire incident, the starlet was quoted in The Times of India, “Let me clarify this, I was not arrested. I was questioned by the cops and it was a very traumatic situation for me. I was hanging out with my brother, and even the cops knew that. But the moment they came to know that I am Poonam Pandey, a celebrity, they asked me to come to the station with them. Initially, I did not agree, but later I had to give in as they were trying to create a scene. But I am still wondering what my fault was actually. Was I paying the price for being a celebrity?"
Although, Poonam is miffed with the entire episode, she doesn’t want to take any legal action against the cops. “I don't want to be in anymore controversies. It was all drama done by the cops. They made me sign some papers and took me to the station and detained me for some time. And now they can't tell that I was wearing something indecent. I was wearing a normal one piece with a jacket. How will I indulge in indecent activities with my brother?"
