New Delhi: After BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s appeal to the people in Gandhinagar to elect L K Advani with a huge margin, it’s now Mr Advani’s turn.
The BJP veteran, who is seeking a sixth term from Gandhinagar where polling took place on April 30, is expected to campaign in Varanasi, the second Parliamentary seat from where Mr Modi is contesting. The Gujarat CM is also contesting from Vadodara.
While campaigning for Mr Advani who had opposed Mr Modi’s elevation in the BJP and had preferred to contest from Bhopal instead of Gandhinagar had urged voters to elect the BJP veteran with a huge margin. Mr Modi had termed Mr Advani as a father figure.
Sources disclosed that Mr Advani, along with other senior leaders, are expected to campaign in Varanasi where polling is scheduled on May 12.
