Gali’s brother-in-law gets interim bail till May 10

Hyderabad: The Special Court for CBI cases on Wednesday granted an interim bail to B.V. Srinivas Reddy, one of the accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) illegal mining case.
Earlier, Mr B.V. Srinivas Reddy had filed a petition and sought bail to attend the funeral of his relative in Bengaluru. He was granted bail from May 7 to May 10.
Principal Special Judge Balayogi, who examined the petition and heard arguments of the defense counsel and the CBI, further issued orders granting interim bail.
Mr B.V. Srinivas Reddy, the Obulapuram Mining Company managing director and brother-in-law of Gali Janardhan Reddy, was granted the bail after submitting surety bonds and was ordered to appear before the court on May 10.
Obulapuram Mining Company is accused of tampering with mining lease boundary markings and carrying out mining illegally in the Bellary Reserve Forest area on the Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border.
