Seemandhra interests are our priority: Jagan Mohan Reddy
'We are ready to ready anyone who will support Seemandhra state in future', Jagan Reddy
Hyderabad: Asked which government at the Centre he will support, YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “I have been asking people in all my meetings, whom do you want? One who dictates terms to Delhi or one who crawls before Delhi? Naidu said to vote for Modi. I said to vote for Telugu pride. I said that whether it is Narendra Modi or Yellaiah or Pullaiah (Tom Dick and Harry) we will think later. Whoever will support Seemandhra state in future or whoever is ready to give what we ask for, for the state, we will make them sit on the PM’s seat. What we need is for the state’s interest to be protected.”
He harked back to the manner in which the Congress passed the Telangana Bill. “The way they brought the Bill is atrocious. The TD and the BJP both supported the horrible way of dividing AP. They all played with the state. The outgoing PM read a letter in Parliament. None of the contents of the letter are in the Bill.”
He predicted that the polling percentage had crossed 75 per cent as people came out to vote in large numbers braving the heat.
Reacting to allegations that the YSRC had unleashed violence during the campaign, Mr Reddy blamed his opponents. “Naidu and the TD planned the clashes and resorted to them. Some of the incidents are due to provocation of TD leaders.”
