Gionee launches ELIFE S5.5 for Rs 22,999

Powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU, it comprises of a 5-inch Super AMOLED FHD display

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Gionee announced the availability of Elife S5.5 in the Indian market for Rs 29,999.

The device, which Gionee claims is the 'world's slimmest phone', can be booked online through the company's website, Gionee said in a statement. The company has also started rolling out the smartphone across retail stores across the country.

Powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU, it comprises of a 5-inch Super AMOLED (1080x1920 pixels) display. This model measures around 145.1x70.2x5.55mm, and weighs 130 grams.

This smartphone features a 13-megapixel-rear camera, supplemented with a 8-megapixel snapper at the front.  On its software front, this smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is wrapped under Amigo UI. It includes an internal storage capacity of 16GB along with 2GB of RAM.

The connectivity options on the Elife S5.5 also include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. It is packed with a non-removable 2300mAh battery and will be available in three variant colours.
