Hyderabad: Telangana PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah objected to Mr Rao calling him a “broker” and said that word suited Mrs  Rao more. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Mr Lakshmaiah said Mr Rao had joined the TD out of fear of being expelled from the Youth Congress for his illegal activities.
Quoting Mr Rao’s statement that after results all the TRS MPs will go to Delhi, the TPCC chief said this is what “brokers” do, so the word “broker” is appropriate for Mr Rao.

Ponnala alleged that KCR gave tickets to 55 candidates who had  not participated in the Telangana agitation and more over who had betrayed Telangana. He said that KCR's insecurity  about his own party leaders is behind making baseless allegations against him.

Ponnala said that KCR who had promised to make a SC leader the first chief minister of Telangana state, but the same KCR is now forcing SC leaders of his party to tell the people of Telangana that he wants to be a Chief Minister.

He said that he welcomes the announcement of KCR's that his party will support AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi for Prime Minister, but KCR is a man with  no credibility. In response to a question Ponnala said that if Congress wins in Telangana the credit will go to the party but if it loses he will take responsibly and abide by the  decision of the high command.

Meanwhile, former government whip Anil Kumar challenged KCR's claim of winning the Gajwel Assembly seat by a margin of 50,000 votes. He  challenged that if  KCR is proved right he will quit politics but if not KCR should quit politics. He said that  KCR has played no role in the formation of Telangana state.
