Away from home? Video chat with your mom

Mumbai: Are you far away from your mom and missing her? Has being out of the country for higher studies, job or other family responsibilities been one of these reason for it. But as the saying goes ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’. Try out surprising your mom by setting a skype chat or video call with your mother.

Create a video message: Just open the Skype app on any device (smart phone, tablet or computer), tap ‘video message’, press ‘record’ and deliver your message. You can record in advance – with as many redo’s as you need – and save to send on the special day!

Plan a group video surprise:  If you have a family of your own, surprise your mother by planning a group video call with your siblings at a specific time. That way she won’t just hear your voice, she will get to see many of her loved ones. It will surely brighten her day!

Make a photo library specially for your mom: Search all the possible pictures of the special moments with your mom. You can convert this into a musical photo library and share it with her via IM, while you video call each of them on Mother’s Day.

Send E-cards via mails:  You can even try sending e-cards to your mom via mails. Many free e-cards are available, make the maximum use of it to surprise her.
