Television Channels agree on Congress rout in Telangana and Seemandhra
Exit polls have predicted a congress rout in both the states
Hyderabad: Significantly, all the channels were unanimous in predicting that the Congress would suffer badly both in Telangana and Seemandhra.
According to the exit polls, voters in Telangana did not show their gratitude to the Congress for granting Telangana while the Seemandhra voters punished the party for dividing the state.
Similarly, they have projected the TRS getting anywhere between eight-14 seats out of a total 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. The exit polls, however, differed while predicting the YSRC getting majority seats in Seemandhra, which account for 25.
Only the ABP News Nielsen exit polls gave a figure of 18 for the YSRC in Seemandhra.
In 2009 exit polls, no channel had predicted that the Congress would get 33 Lok Sabha seats (actual figure) and had only given 28 and less. Similarly their projection of the TD getting 12 to 19 seats went wrong with the actual figure being six. Though the TRS got two seats in 2009, the exit polls had given it zero.
