Angry protesters kicked the PM’s car and called for his resignation

Soma, Turkey: Turkish Prime Miniter Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that a mine accident will be “investigated thoroughly” as he announced the death toll had risen to 238.

“The accident is being investigated thoroughly. We will not allow any negligence,” Mr Erdogan said after visiting the site of the mine explosion in the town of Soma in western Turkey.

Meanwhile, angry protesters on Wednesday kicked the Prime Minister’s car and called for the government’s resignation as he visited the town where a deadly mine blast occurred.

Many chanted and whistled near the building where the premier gave his press conference.
