Bollywood celebrities welcomes Narendra Modi with hope for a 'new India'

Mumbai: With the BJP-led NDA alliance headed for a landslide win in the Lok Sabha elections, Bollywood celebrities welcomed Narendra Modi with the hope for a 'new India, opportunity and future'.
Celebrities including Anupam Kher, Shekhar Kapur, Preity Zinta, Asha Bhonsle, Karan Johar, Dhanush among others took to twitter to congratulate Modi.
 
"End of era of feudal politics. Dynastic politics. A new India. A new opportunity. A new future. Let it not go waste Narendra Modi congrats," Kapur tweeted. Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle tweeted, "Finally a Prime Minister who speaks Hindi... Jai Hind."
 
Director Karan Johar called Modi's success the first blockbuster of the year. "BJP... the first major blockbuster of the year! Huge opening and no sign of a Monday drop," Johar posted. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar wrote, "The wave has hit the shore! A young, sensible and vibrant India gives its verdict! Heartiest congratulations to Narendra Modi and his team."
 
Kher, whose actress wife Kirron Kher defeated AAP's Gul Panag and Congress' Pawan Kumar Bansal from Chandigarh constituency, tweeted, "Achche Din Aa Gaye (Good days are here). Jai Ho." Vivek Oberoi hailed Modi's vision of a new India.
 
"A new era dawns! People have voted unanimously for Narendra Modi's vision of a new India. A great victory of the people of India! A victory of hope, progressive thinking and inclusive ideology over the dirty divisive politics of fear," he wrote.
 
 
Zinta and composer Vishal Dadlani are looking forward to a stable and solid government. "Heart is beating crazy as I watch election results on TV. Every Indian has spoken and I am happy to see that this will be a stable and solid Govt," Zinta posted.
 
Dadlani tweeted, "So, Modi is clearly the voice of the Indian people. One hopes for good governance, that serves the country. Good luck to him, BJP and us."
 
Tamil superstar Dhanush tweeted, "Change is here. Magic has happened." Actress Chitrangda Singh said, "So, today we stand MODI-FIED. Now lets have it coming. Nation awaits."
