Hyderabad: It’s a gloomy Friday for YS Jagan’s camp. The YSRC office is deserted following the trends that show edge for Telugudesam. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother YS Vijayamma and other family members were watching the television in Lotus Pond residence in the city. The results in local polls are repeated.

YSRC Vizag Lok Sabha candidate and party vice president, YS Vijaya Lakshmi is trailing. BJP candidate, Kambhampati Haribabu, is leading. TD candidates are leading in almost 4 assembly segments out of 7 coming under Vizag Lok Sabha segment. BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Vizag as part of his campaign in Seemandhra.  Vizag Lok Sabha seat had gone to BJP as part of poll alliance between the TD and the saffron party.

TD candidate, Muttamsetti Srinivas Rao, is leading in Anakapalle Lok Sabha. YSRC candidate, Kothapalli Geeta, is leading and union minister, Congress candidate V Kishorechandra Deo is trailing in Araku Loksabha.

A party leader said, “We didn’t expect this to happen. Though there is a tough fight the trends are not in our favour. It is very sad. Everyone including top leadership is disappointed.”
Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila is in United States.

YSRC has been hoping that it would form the government with at least 100 seats. However their hopes are washed away with the TD leading almost in around 90 seats and YSRC in 80 assembly seats.

The only reprieve for YSRC is that it is leading in 11 parliament constituencies and TDP in 11 and BJP in two. YSRC top leadership is now analyzing the factors that may have lead to possible debacle.
